Wet Felted using Australian Merino wool and silk with additional plant fibres.
This piece was inspired by a trip to the Kimberley region of Western Australia and a helicopter flight to the Mitchell Falls.
I have tried to capture the ancient colours and textures of the landscape by using a range of fibre and textiles including: merino wool, silk, handspun fibres, bergshaf wool and various plant based fibres that I wet felted into the landscape.
